Obituary of Keith Currie Singer

Singer, Keith C., Shubenacadie, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2015 at the age of 80. He was born in North Salem to Currie and Florence (Nelson) Singer. He served 3 years in the Army with the 1st Field Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, and was proud to be a part of the Regiment that trialled the FNC1 rifles. After his honourable discharge, he was employed for 35 years by The Shaw Group (formerly NS Sand and Gravel), as a truck driver. He was a very hard working man and we are proud that he received a 33 years safe driving award and a 3 million mile award for safe driving. He was very devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved daughters Keatha (Mark) Bearss, Shubenacadie; Shirley Singer, Julie (Kenneth) McCulloch, Jody (Timothy) Ryan, all of Halifax; loving PaPa to Andrew, Jilliane, Tanner, Reegan, Brycen and Easton; Great Grandfather to Peyton, Nathaniel and Tristan, brother to Margaret, Sheila and Clarence. He was predeceased by his wife Betty; siblings Helen, Wilfred, Vernon, Lena, Orrie, Dorothy, Lawrence, Frances and Shirley. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. No visitation by his own request. Private family burial to take place in Preeper Hill Cemetery.
