Obituary of Lillian Marie McMullen

MCMULLEN, Lillian Marie - The family of Lillian would like to announce the passing of their rock and foundation, Lillian Marie at the age of 79. Born in Halifax on October 10, 1936, to the late Arnold and Myrtle (Whidden) Graham. Lillian was a dedicated employee of H.H. Marshall Ltd. for over 40 years. Lillian’s passion for life will be forever remembered by her family and friends, always a smile on her face and ready to have fun. Lillian was a true friend and kind soul to anyone who knew her. Lillian’s greatest joys in life came from and revolved around her family, the countless memories will be forever lasting. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 57 years, William McMullen, Enfield; son, William Jr. (Kyia) McMullen, Saskatchewan; daughter, Pam (Dave) Hancock, Enfield; grandchildren, Ashley, Chad and Joely, sisters, Patsy (Murville) Davis, Enfield; Cindy (Patrick) Benere, Enfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Vernon, Junior, Laurie and Douglas and sisters, Mabel, Marjorie and Heather. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm Friday October 23rd in the Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A Celebration of Lillian’s life will be held 11am Saturday October 24th in St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, Oakfield, Rev. David Chapman officiating. A private family interment service will follow in the church cemetery. The family welcomes friends to a reception after the committal. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
