Obituary of Hilliard "Everette" Dunford

DUNFORD, Hilliard “Everette”-Age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 29, 2015 in The Magnolia Continuing Care Residence in Enfield, NS. Born in Young’s Point, ON, he was a son of the late Hilliard and Ruby (Freeburn) Dunford. Everette was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy and later employed as a stationary engineer. Everette enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his woodpile. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Hartford), Enfield, Wade (Donna), Fall River, John (Diana), Oldham, Paula (Terry) Lantz; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers, Delbert (Marilyn), John (Paula) and Gordon; sisters, Loretta (Chuck) Russell, Marg (Larry) Godfrey, Jean (Sam) Ferrari; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna; children, Gordon, Leah, Eldon, Linda Jean, Mary Ruby; grandson, Brian; sisters, Vera McIsaac, Helen Foote and Gladys Pearson. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm, Thursday December 3, 2015 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Robert Corkum officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Family flowers only.
