DUNBAR (Fraser)(MacPhee), Vera C. age 94, Hardwood Lands, passed away December 10, 2015 at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Upper Nine Mile River, on March 11, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Martha (Dalrymple) MacPhee. Vera lived the past 66 years in Hardwood Lands, she was a member of the Hardwood Lands Presbyterian Church, and a life member of AMS. She leaves in mourning, her daughter, Enith Thomas; son, and daughter-in-law, Corey and Darlene Fraser; step-daughter, Marion and husband Brian Jay; grandchildren, Patti (Troy), Brad (Talia), Steven, Bethany (Brent), Ryan (Krista), Lindsay, Patrick (Elaine), Tiffany (Vaughn), Laura and 15 great grandchildren all whom she loved dearly. Also mourned by her sister Evelyn (Carl) Angevine, sister-in-law Ethel Fraser as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Douglas Fraser, second husband Gordon Dunbar, son-in-law Len Thomas and infant grandson Craig Thomas; brothers, James, George, Allan, Clarence, Owen, Norman, Warren, Herman, sisters, Enith, Gertie and an infant sister. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7-9pm Saturday at the Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will be held 1:30pm Sunday December 13, Rev. Beth Mattinson presiding. Interment will be in Hardwood Lands Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hardwood Lands Presbyterian Church, Hardwood Lands Cemetery or a charity of choice. The family extends a special thank you to the Palliative Care team, VON nurses and home care staff.
