Obituary of Isabelle Jean Denney

DENNEY, Isabelle Jean-age 96, passed away peacefully February 29, 2016 at the Braeside Nursing Home, Middle Musquodoboit, NS. Born in Port Hood, Cape Breton she was a daughter of the late Eben and Sadie (Ross) Leadbetter. Isabelle moved to Truro with her parents at a young age and resided in Stewiacke for the past several years. Her passions were books, storytelling and her family. She could talk about anything from horses and buggy days to computers and current events. She is survived by her children Pat, Emmerson and Jon (Cindy); as well as 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The youngest and last of her family, she was predeceased by her husband, Andrew and siblings, Gladys, Margaret, Mary, Cora, Etta, Robert and Harry. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A private family committal service will be held at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. The family would like to thank the VON caregivers and the staff at Braeside for all their care. Donations can be made to the Braeside Activity Department.
