MILLER, Bruce - 66, Georgefield, passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on May 22, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, to begin his new journey. A resident of Georgefield his entire life. He began his working career in Subbury in the Nickel Mines, returning home after ten years to start his own blasting company Nova Explosives then later Miller Mining. A big man in stature with an even bigger heart he left everyone he met a little wiser. He loved to share conversations about politics and native culture. He is survived by his wife and best friend Joy (Whitenect), step-daughters Alisa, Denise and Jackie "Doobie"; seven grandchildren; brother Lee and mother Joyce; close cousins and good friends. He was predeceased by his father Lloyd. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. No visitation by request. A funeral service 2:30, Sunday, May 26, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Angus MacDonald officiating. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Latties Brook.
