Thinking of all the family and sending our deepest sympathy.
I knew Barbara from when I was just a child. I can remember playing with Paul, running up and down the Birch Brook, and we would hear Barbara calling us when it was lunch or supper time - her voice had the right pitch to travel whereas we could never hear my grandmother.
I can remember Barbara being so comforting when I would run like mad to her house to get her to call the doctor when Mark was sick with croup. I would have been six or seven when this happened.
Barbara always helped out with birthday parties when mom had one for Mark or me. I have pictures of Barbara peeking around the door of the dining room, thinking I suppose that she wouldn't be in the picture.
When I was married and had my first baby, Barbara was so kind and helpful to me. I remember sitting under the oak trees while we chatted about so many things.
Barbara was such a good cook. I still use recipes she gave to me so many years ago.
Barbara was so lucky to have had the love and support of her family, and you could hear how proud she was of everyone when she spoke of you.
Even though we weren't in close contact during the past number of years, I thought of Barbara quite often and with great fondnes. You were so lucky to have had Barbara in your lives for so many years.
