Obituary of Thomas Andrew McDonald
Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
McDonald, Tom, age 54, of Maitland, Nova Scotia, formerly of Ontario, passed away on Wednesday March 15 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro after undergoing a craniotomy in Halifax in February and subsequently succumbing to cancer. Born in Toronto Ontario, he was the son of the late James Edward McDonald and late Janet (Oram) McDonald.
Tom moved to Nova Scotia in 2009 with his wife of 17 years, settled in Maitland, East Hants and was thrilled to claim the area as his new home. He loved to ride his Harley motorcycle on the scenic Nova Scotia roads and enjoyed puttering on his John Deere tractor.
Tom was skilled and talented in so many areas, a knowledgeable person and friendly character. He acquired the nickname “Tishbite” by his friends in Ontario, because he reminded them of the Biblical prophet Elijah.
Tom`s greatest passion in life was to seek and serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His mission was to teach Truth and he was well versed in the Holy Scriptures. His website www.babylonortruth.org was one avenue he used to fulfil this calling.
He is survived by his loving wife Beulah, and family in Ontario: son Dustin (Arabella) Cortez, granddaughter Faith, and brothers Tim McDonald, Jim McDonald and Rob LaChance as well as nieces Aaron and Kylie and nephews Tyler and Aiden. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his daughter Siera McDonald.
No service will be held at this time, interment will take place at a later date. Condolences, words of comfort and memories of Tom may be shared with the family at www.ettingerfuneralhome.com
