Obituary of Colleen Mary Rebecca Jane Knockwood

KNOCKWOOD (McDONALD), Colleen Mary Rebecca Jane-age 64 of Indian Brook passed away April 9, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Ellen (Paul) McDonald.

Colleen was a devoted Boston Bruins fan and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Her favorite player was Donaldson. She was a Sipekne’katik Band Councillor for 10 years. She cherished her little dog, Deedee. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 45 years, Steven; children, Kelley Knockwood (Joey McGrath), Ivan Knockwood (Jennifer Benedict), Kris-Ann Knockwood, Lena Knockwood (Leon Robinson); eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; brothers, Clarence McDonald and Mark McDonald; sister, Lena Politano and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Julian; brothers, Roy, Duncan, Jack, Alexander and Walter McDonald and several siblings in infancy.

As per Colleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday, April 12 and 2-4pm and 7-9 pm Friday, April 13 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 14 in St. Kateri Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook. Father Ron Cairns officiating.
