26 Feb 2020:
Rest in peace Donny!
You are loved and missed.
Donny and I were in a band together some time between 1978 and 1980.
The band was called "Jakan!"
Donny was the road manager and sound man. I was the keyboard player.
I have wonderful memories of Donny and "Jakan" from those few years when I lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Rest in peace Donny!

Hello Vernon!
I was in a band with Donny some time between 1978 to 1980 called "Jakan!" You probably remember me. (Keyboard player from Pennsylvania! I married Bonnie who is from Newfoundland. I believe you and I were also band mates in Halifax. We named the band "Transit!" Bonnie & I moved to USA in 1983.) - Donny was a great guy!
May he rest in peace!

Wow! I was late in hearing the news and this makes a person realize to get off their butts and visit sooner and more often. So saddened by my actions and of hearing the outcome of such a nice person as Don. Donny was a great neighbor who listened and took the time for anyone also the kind of person you could put your trust and faith in just by his demeanor alone. There should be more people in this world of his character. He will truly be missed.

Passing my condolences to the family of Donnie. He and I travelled a lot of roads together in music and beyond. Don was a very intelligent and honest human being. He would figure out what was needed for whatever he involved himself in and then make it happen!
We were the type of friends that, after not having seen each other for a long time, could pick right where we left off and go from there.
I will surely miss our talks and sharing of our ideas. Like the song by The Downchild Blues Band, ALL MY FRIENDS ARE DROPPING LIKE FLIES, fly on my Brother.....

Hi
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to his family. Although I have not seen Donnie that much since school days, I always considered him a friend. He was very much a part of our group back in the school days.
