Obituary of Barbara Diane Pottie

POTTIE, Barbara Diane (Smith) – passed away in the Colchester East Hants Health centre, Truro with family by her side.

She was a daughter of the late Cecil and Doris Smith of Bedford. As well as her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie and Myrna; brother, Frank.

She is survived by husband, Gerald; sisters, Marilyn Smith, Jean (Ken) Gray; brother in law, David Boudreau; several nieces and nephews; sisters in law, Obeline, Sarah, Marie, Melvina, Karen, Lucy, and Brenda; brothers in law, Felix, Albert, Hal, Peter, David, Paul.

Barb was a kind soul and was never happier than when she was helping others. Her favourite things were going to the jamborees and playing Bingo in Nine Mile River.

Barb was a member and volunteer at the Elmsdale Legion and participated in the Poppy Fund Campaign.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A memorial service will be held 2pm Tuesday, May 28 in Elmsdale Legion..
