Obituary of Jessie Agnes Wilson

WILSON, Jessie Agnes – age 86, of East Stewiacke. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessie Agnes Wilson at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, on September 8, 2019.

A long time resident of East Stewiacke, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 67 years, Bob; son, Tim; son-in-law, Bruce; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Freda; brother- in-law, Martin; sister in-law, Mary; special niece, Maxine.

She was predeceased by daughters, Nancy Robinson and Debbie McNutt.

Jessie kept house for the Godfreys in Truro before marrying Bob. Once married she became a homemaker to her family of three children. All who knew Jessie knew her strong love for family and friends. She treasured her grandchildren. All who visited her would be sure to leave having experienced a laugh, a cup of tea and a taste of home cooking. Whether she was cleaning, cooking, knitting, shopping with friends or playing cards on Saturday night these meant happy times. Her love of music was shown as a choir member at Sharon United.

Jessie’s family would like to thank the Crouse family for their friendship and support, especially Evelyn and Karen. Thanks to the VON who helped out during Jessie’s illness at home and to the staff at Cedarstone for their professional and caring manner. Thanks also to the staff at Colchester East Hants Health Centre for their wonderful care.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, from where Jessie’s family will receive visitors from 11 am Saturday, September 14, until time of funeral at 12pm, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home hospitality area. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke.
