Obituary of Joanna Marie Murray

MURRAY, Joanna M. - age 67, of Nine Mile River.

We regret to announce the sudden passing of Joanna (Hines) Murray on September 23, 2019.

Joanna is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary; only daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Ashley; and only granddaughter, Sarah; sisters, Rena (Greg) Tupper, Paulette (Phillip) Woodworth; brothers, Bayfield (Wendy), Timmy (Donna), Shawn (Suzie).

Besides her parents, Melvin and Helen (Paley) Hines, she was predeceased by her brother, Larry; and her parents-in-law, Laurie and Rhoda Murray.

Joanna was a long term employee of Wilson Fuels for almost 25 years and enjoyed the job of Assistant Manager at the Elmsdale Esso and in later years as Assistant Manager at Enfield Esso, retiring in January 2017.  She enjoyed her retirement but missed a lot of her customers. She loved being home, spending time with her grand daughter, who was her pride and joy.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

There will be no funeral at this time. There will a celebration of life from 1pm – 4pm on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Nine Mile River Community Hall, 7160 Highway 14, Nine Mile River.
