Dear Joyce and Ron,
So sorry to hear about Aunt Marg. She was such a lovely, kind lady who was a good friend of our parents,Chandra and Rupert. She looked after us so well while we were living in Windsor as cheeky teenagers. She will be fondly remembered. She was a university friend of Chandra and Geraldine. They always kept in touch despite our mother living in Trinidad. We kept in touch for a while after our mum died in 2002. Our dad is living here in Dublin now.
We were just chatting about her when we found out about Aunt Marg and Sandy. Vonda is here from Edmonton visiting us in Dublin. We have not returned to Nova Scotia since our mum died in 2002 and were thinking about visiting next year. Please accept our condolences. May she rest in peace!
love Vonda and Sonja (also Rupert Bobart)

Joyce:
I am truly sorry on the passing of Margaret. I remember her caring and visiting many neighbors in the East Stewiacke community. My mum particularly appreciated her visits, they laughed and reminisced about the past during her last days. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Miss Goodwin was my grade 6 teacher at Alderney School. Years later I met her again when I met my husband and discovered Miss Goodwin was his second cousin. She was a great teacher and a lovely lady.

Miss Goodwin was my Grade 6 teacher at Michael Wallace School.
She was stern but had a quiet way about her. She rarely raised her voice and treated her students well.
She made me feel special because every day at 11:45am, she would give me a nod and I would go to the teacher's room and plug in the kettle. It may not seem like a big deal to anyone, but it was to me and I will never forget it. She made me feel important.
I am now 60 years old and can I can picture her like yesterday.
My deepest sympathy to her family...Bonnie Langille

I am so very saddened to learn of Margaret's passing. I met Margaret about 15 years ago and enjoyed spending time with her on our trips to Berwick, to Joyce's and at her home both visiting and working with her. She will surely be missed by anyone who knew her. Rest In Peace, Margaret.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I remember Ms. Goodwin from when she was my teacher at Michael Wallace and from all the stories my father told me from when he had her as a young boy. I guess you could say she was a part of the family...teaching my father, Aunts/Uncles ,brother, sister and then myself. She was strict and I was scared to do anything wrong in her class...lol. Every person we meet in our lives make some sort of impact one way or the other and for me to be in my forties now and to be able to remember Ms Goodwin like it was yesterday, shows you the impact that she had on her students lives. Thank you for teaching me!!

Margaret Goodwin was my grade 3 teacher in 1953 at the Milford Elementary School.
I have fond memories of her fairness to all students. It was a multi-grade class, grade 3 to grade 6. Another thing I remember was her penmanship. She was such a great writer and of course that was the year she taught us cursive writing. Teaching was a real vocation for her! Rest in Peace, Margaret.

The death of Marg brought many memories to mind ---camping, conference, Presbytery --indeed all activities that enabled her to express her faith. Hers was a faith filled life marked with many physical struggles. As you gather to celebrate the life of this person of faith may you give thanks for one who believed and who lived her beliefs.
Warm blessings,
Doug & June MacEachern
