What I remember most about Alta was that she was always smiling and laughing. She loved nothing better than to hang out with all her sisters and she was always up for a party. May peace be with all her loved ones.

Alta was always very welcoming when you entered her home. She would insist on you eating and sometimes I felt terrible to politely decline (as I am a notorious picky eater)- much to her disappointment as she enjoyed sharing food with guests. She was a very charismatic soul and loved deeply by my grandmother and her sisters. My condolences to you all and we regret that we cannot be there to pay our last respects as Covid did not permit us to travel back to Canada this summer. Treasure the small memories that you have of her and may our God Almighty welcome her with a bright light and open arms in Heaven. Warmest wishes, Joanna (Alta’s great niece), Kareem, Alia and Adam.

My sincere sympathy to all of Alta's family. I remember a fun loving young girl from when we played together as children in the Gore, many years ago. Our grandparents were neighbours and our fathers good friends. Over the years we only met occasionally, often at family funerals, but we always hugged and had a laugh together.
