Read to you Bill on your last day gracing us with your presence xo
As I sit outside by myself for a quiet minute this morning, I'm choking back some tears. Some sad, some happy and some mixed emotions. Even thought I've only had you in my life for a short 6.5 years, it feels like I've known you forever. Bill you've always been there to lend a helping hand, grab my hand for a scuff or have beer, laugh and a few games of crib. We've rang in many of the last few NYE years together, celebrated lots of birthdays, milestones, trials and tribulations... but of course there is never enough time!! I hope you enjoyed your last party here with us mere mortals, and continue to be the life of the party, wherever the next chapter takes you! You're one of the great ones in my books!!! Thank you for allowing and welcoming me into your family. Love you with all my heart ❤️

Bill, you were a funny, carefree kinda guy. Every time I went to visit Dawn, you always greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing! I’m going to miss that. I loved our banter back and forth about those horribleToronto Maple Leafs, that you so loved. Lol It was all in fun! Always a good sport. I’m sure going to miss you, Bill. May you now be flying with the angels. Love you!
Debbie.

Dear Dawn and family,
My Mom (Colleen Cathcart) and me were saddened to hear of Bill's recent passing. We offer our sincere condolences . It has been many years since we were close neighbours with Bill on Kirtland Court. We have many fond memories of him with his wry humour and devilish grin. I am sure these are tough days for you and the family as you grieve for Bill's passing. However, like us, you too have many great memories of Bill to ease the grieving and brighten your day. His spirit lives on. Take care.

I hope you are at Peace now. It was so great to meet you when we went to Nova Scotia for my sister's and Robert's wedding. We had a grand feed and a cold one once we left the airport. Also an amazing time swinging each other around on the dance floor of the wedding. May you feel at peace ❤️❤️

Puppy there are no words to explain how much I love you and miss you. You were always there when the boys or i needed a laugh and always up for a hug. I have so many memories like painting your nails and then having no nailpolish remover to take it off so you'd have to keep your nails painted.

Bill.. there’s a few memories and moments I have of you, but I know I wouldn’t have enough time or page to write. However, one thing that I realized this past week was that, I started out not knowing who you are, as total strangers, and yet today I feel sadness and like something is missing. I didn’t get the chance to know you, your whole life, but it didn’t really matter cause it felt as I knew you forever, and seemed as you were always the fella I came to for a laugh, or to just sit and talk with, maybe even have a drink or two. The last thing I wanted to say was… I never said thank you. It may not be the best way, but this is my thank you, for the laughs, the advice, the stories, and the smile you shared with everyone around you. I hope you rest easy now my friend.

My Father
I Loved you dad. I hope that you
Knew how much. Did I say the words enough?
You were like a best friend to me
We laughed, we argued, we cried and had the best of times together.
We were not perfect, no one is; we made mistakes, and said sorry for those mistakes.
Each and every day you filled my heart with pride and sometimes with torment with your conspiracy theories
You were stubborn, funny, and the only one that was right.
You loved each and every one of your children, grand children and great grand children.
When you started not feeling well I tried to do everything in my power to get answers; you seen the best! (Thank you to my medical colleagues that helped care for my dad)
Everyday my heart ached. I seen you were hurting. I can only imagine how hard it was not being able to do the activities that you enjoyed. We were lucky your pain was months and not years. We were lucky that I was able to stay home and take care of you. We never told you that you were not alone; George or I were always there and would not have it any other way.
Now my heart is broken; it will be mended over time. I will never forget you, my travel buddy.
I left your window open so that you could finally be free.
I am so proud that you chose to depart on your own time.
You are a true inspiration
Your last words were who you were, “I don’t think I will ever stop talking” and every one laughed.
There could be no truer words spoken…. You had the last word and the last laugh.
I love you forever,
Dawn

We have always been a close family . Billy and I stood for my late sister, Priscilla, when she married Yvon Quintin way back in the early 60's. We spent a lot of time together then but as most folks are wont to do we drifted apart. I was sorry to hear of his untimely passing and send my deepest condolences to his remaining family.

From your sister Mary: Bill was simply one of the kindest men I knew. He was always there for anyone, family or friend, who needed help. I will miss him dearly.
From brother-in-law Hal: Every family seems to have one person who stays in touch with everyone. For the Henneberry family...that person was Bill. Like his father before him, he was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Like his mom he was fiercely devoted to family. A simple, unassuming man, Bill was kind and thoughtful to a fault. Thanks for your friendship these past many years William. The sun is a little less warm today..........
