When I first met Nanny Stella, quite a few years ago now, I really admired her on how she spoke her mind and that she made me feel accepted right from the start. I also loved how much she would sing, and at any time. We live far away so each phone call was special and when Travis and I were able to visit we really enjoyed our time together. One of my favourite memories of Nanny Stella was on our wedding day, Travis and I were in the vehicle after our ceremony and on our way to the reception she called and as soon as we picked up she started singing. It was absolutely beautiful and the perfect moment to share in our special day. I ended up getting her to sing it again and I recorded it so we will always have and remember her sweet song and wish to us on our magical day. We talked on the phone often and when we got to bring our kids to see her she was so excited, patient, and kind. The last time I saw her in person she gave me a rosary as a gift, it made me feel special and truly warmed my heart. Nanny Stella you will be missed, we will miss your phone calls, and of course your adorable songs. We will never forget you and we will ensure that our children will know who Nanny Stella was to us. Love you always and forever.
