I only learned of Mima's passing this morning in church.i first met Mima in The late '80s when I became involved with UNICEF and Windsor United Church. She was such a positive person and such a joy to work with.
Though we didn't see much of each other over the last number of years, I thought of her often, and all the good times we had. I will miss her notes at Christmas. Please accept my heartfelt condolences in your loss.

Mary & family, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. In the one time I met your mother her beautiful caring manner made a lasting impact. Her special attention to my mother during our get together was so touching. She was surely a true beautiful soul. I certainly hope that the fond memories you have will give you some comfort during this difficult time.

I was so saddened to read of Mima's passing. I have such fond memories of her - from days of shopping with her and my Mom, to her love of dessert, to the thoughtful letters she sent since my Mom passed.
She was always so proud of her family and spoke often about the wonderful care you gave her.
Mima was a remarkable lady who will be missed!
My thoughts and condolences are with you.

Dear Mary and George,
We have been thinking of you both constantly this week, as well as extended family; we are so sorry for your loss but so thankful that we were able to meet your mom and to enjoy many phone and Skype conversations with her. She was so warm and thoughtful and had such a lovely way with our children; her sense of adventure, play and great imagination always kept them in a trance! Take good care of each other and hold fond memories close.

Dear George, Mary & families-
On reading Thursday's Chronicle Herald we were so sorry to learn of Mima's passing but what a great picture & tribute to Mima- an apt description of her and her life.
We got to know Mima and your dad from our mutual membership at Windsor United Church. Mima was very active on the M & S Committee and soon had Peter & myself involved. When I retired she involved me with the "Lunch Bunch Group" and I am sure she has related to you many of the antics of this fun group.
Not only did we know Mima & Don from Church but they were neighbours. After their moved to Wynn Park, we kept in touch with occasional visits & letters at Christmas time. I am so pleased I had such a nice long visit with Mima at "The Magnolia" just before Christmas. Mima was a beautiful person- truly a lady.
We are left with wonderful memories of both your Mum & Dad.
Peter joins me in sending you our loving thoughts & sincere sympathy.

Dear George and Mary.
We are so sorry for your loss. Mima has a very special place in our hearts. In the past few years we have paid her a yearly visit during our trip to Nova Scotia and we always looked forward to it. Her gentleness, smile and keen interest in our lives were heart warming. And her sharp memory could put any of us to shame. Fond memories of both Mima and Don will remain with us forever.
Our most sincere sympathies - Bob & Danielle, Ottawa

Dear George and Mary.
Just saw the lovely obituary for Aunt Mima in the Chronicle Herald tonight. What wonderful memories we all have of a kind and caring aunt. She is so very, very missed.
Memories--over the years Aunt Mima and I shared many stories and family recollections via phone calls and letters. She always "lent an ear" and was so very positive. Her address book and telephone numbers were always handy when I needed them. Her letters and cards were so very meaningful to me. She also had the answers to any questions I had on our family's roots. Thank you George for hosting a visit with Aunt Mima in October. She looked so smart in her green suit and I commented on how nice she looked. "Mary got this for me" she said proudly. Thank you Mary and George for organizing so many visits to us here in Ottawa. It meant "the world." I love you and miss you Aunt Mima.
Love Bonnie

Unit 5 members of the UCW(Windsor United Church) remember dear Mima with fond memories. She was truly a kind and compassionate friend to us all. Even though she moved away from Windsor many years ago, she continued to send us cards at Christmas and personally hand written notes if we were struggling with sickness or a personal event.
Our joys will be greater
our love will be deeper
our lives will be fuller
Because Mima shared herself with us,

So very sorry to hear of Mima's passing. I remember her very fondly as a wonderful neighbour (in Falmouth) and life-long friend of the family. She was a kind and generous soul with the most lovely smile. I will remember too her "fat molasses" cookies which she so kindly baked for us. I hope your memories comfort you as you mourn her passing.
